On World Ocean Day, 8th June, people around our blue planet will be coming together to celebrate and honour our ocean. The ocean connects us all, between countries and across the world and by working together, we must protect and restore our oceans. The theme this year is The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods.

We are celebrating our nurses, and the hard work of all the front line workers as we celebrate International Nurses Day on the 12t of May. One of the first pioneers of Nursing was Florence Nightingale who was born on the 12th May 1820, on the 200th anniversary of her birth, the work Florence Nightingale did resonates with us now more than ever. Florences ideas and actions changed nursing forever.

We are so excited that the newly designed Purple Mash has finally launched! We have several new features that you can explore and start to use. The trial period will last for approximately 8 weeks, after which we will gradually switch all users to the new look Purple Mash!

Mental Health Awareness week, hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, takes place from 10-16 May 2021 and, the theme this year is Nature.
During this last year more of us have connected with nature than ever before, during our daily walks and being able to enjoy being in the open. One of the aims of the week is to inspire more people to connect with nature and noticing the impacts that this connection can have for their mental health. We have a range of resources that can be used during the week to encourage children to #ConnectWithNature.
