2Simple launches into Secondary Schools with Senior Phase Python coding platform

June 19, 2020

2Simple, a leading developer of software in schools, has become a familiar name in computer and technology classrooms over the past few years. Teaching technology can pose various challenges for schools with its highly specialised subject matter which is constantly changing and evolving.

There’s no doubt that the various products on offer from 2Simple, such as the award-winning Purple Mash, work to overcome these challenges and are beneficial to both student and teacher alike, making learning and teaching easier.

2020 sees an exciting new product launch from the 2Simple team in the form of Python in Pieces. A Python based coding program, Python in Pieces is built for the late primary and high school student.

Python in Pieces has been designed to transition learners from block-based coding to Python though guided lessons and open-ended activities.

Tim Holliday of 2Simple South Africa says, “We’re excited to be extending our presence into the high school arena this year. Python in Pieces is a world class product, receiving great feedback internationally and we look forward to introducing it in South Africa.

Complete with activities and resources, this challenging, interactive environment allows students to learn the coding language of Python whilst enabling both specialist and non-specialist teachers to teach with confidence.”

Steve Wheeler* recently reviewed Python in Pieces at the BETT Show in London.
