Purple Mash Tools & Apps: 2Do

Sept. 4, 2023

2Do or not 2Do that is the question. However, it shouldn’t really be a question, as the 2Do functionality in Purple Mash has had a major refresh and will save you time and reduce workload! There is also the benefit of not having to print out homework but using 2Do to set weekly homework – if setting a quiz then these are automatically marked – what’s not to love.

What is a 2Do?

A 2Do in Purple Mash is used to set work for a class, groups or an individual child.  Teachers are able to set any work in Purple Mash as a 2Do, this means that you can set work related to a class topic, homework or to extend skills.

2Do blur

All 2Dos will show on the 2Do tab within Purple Mash, you are able to view active 2Dos, those you have set for a future date and those that have been completed.  You can also search 2Dos by year group, class or date.

2Do updates

It is now easier and quicker to set 2Dos and managing them is now more automated – saving teachers even more time and reducing workload.

You can read all about the new functionality here

We have also created a series of short videos explaining the changes and how to set 2Dos.

Saving Time

Using 2Dos can save you time and reduce your workload, here’s how:

  • Quickly and easily set work, add in objectives, and see who has/has not completed the work, their scores and judgements.
  • If you set a quiz then these are automatically marked, cutting down on your marking time and giving you an overview so you know where to focus teaching.
  • Add verbal or written feedback to either multiple or individual 2Dos.
  • Looking to improve skills in either Maths or English then you can set recurring 2Dos so that children can practise regularly at home.
  • Supporting groups of children with specific tasks – groups can be set up and assigned work specifically for them.
  • Use our ready-made writing templates/quizzes to set homework, no need to photocopy sheets, assign it as a 2Do for children to work on at home.
