Mash Partners: Alexandra Palace

Sept. 4, 2024

Explore Alexandra Palace's rich history with Purple Mash

We are thrilled to announce that the much-loved and iconic Alexandra Palace in North London has become our latest Mash Partner! Mash Partners are experts in their fields who deliver exceptional educational programmes outside the classroom. Thanks to funding from the National Heritage Lottery Fund, we’ve worked with the Creative Learning Team at Alexandra Palace to create an innovative and engaging 6-week project.

What will students learn?

During the project, pupils will research:

  • The original vision for Alexandra Park and the Palace
  • The changing uses over its 150-year history
  • How Alexandra Palace is used today

Students will work collaboratively to research these topics using a variety of sources. They will then use the bespoke resources available on Purple Mash to create their own Alexandra Palace exhibition.

A word from Alexandra Palace's Creative Learning Team

Mark Civil, Head of Creative Learning, shared his enthusiasm about the partnership:

We are excited to work with 2Simple to enhance the educational offerings at Alexandra Palace. Their innovative approach to digital learning aligns perfectly with our mission to provide students with meaningful experiences that foster a deeper understanding of our cultural heritage.
