Creating Learning Journeys and Capturing "Wow" Moments

Oct. 28, 2022

As your learners progress throughout the year, there will be many ‘Wow’ moments which highlight improvements in their development. Whilst these milestones are rewarding, keeping track of each child’s learning journey can be challenging. Take a look below to find out how Evidence Me can help to simplify this process.

Capture observations in real time:

Evidence Me allows you to capture observations in real time. You can take a photo, video or write a note in the mobile app with or without Wi-Fi. This means you can capture learner’s achievements whilst on the go, regardless of your environment.

As well as this, you can add any additional details, objectives or next steps to build a thorough understanding of what each child’s learning journey looks like. This can link to any combination of frameworks that you choose, including Development Matters, Birth to 5 Matters or custom frameworks. Evidence Me can even recommend objectives and next-step objectives based on your preferred framework and notes of the observation.

Observations are also updated on learner’s profiles across multiple devices within the same school so that all teachers can have access to their learning journeys if needed.

Lastly, the wide variety of reports within Evidence Me ensures that you can track and evidence your classes learning in whichever way you feel is most suitable.

You can visit our help page to find out more about capturing observations or reporting.

Parent engagement:

“Wow” moments can also be shared with parents using the Parent Share feature within Evidence Me.

Information can be shared in real time using our dedicated parent app and you have control over what is shared with parents. Parents can add comments to shared observations or create their own and send these back to you to view and comment on. It’s the perfect way for parents to be updated on their child’s progress and for you to be made aware of learning that has taken place at home that has enriched a child’s learning journey.

You can also encourage parent observations through creating a class communication within Evidence Me. For example, asking parents to send in evidence that relates to hobbies or topic-based content.

You can find out more about Parent Share here.
