With the summer holidays just around the corner, Term 1 2020 will hopefully feel very far away but it's important we still keep an eye on the new school year ahead and give ourselves and the students a head start.
With that in mind, we've compiled four Purple Mash activities to do at the beginning of Term 1 2020 that bring benefits throughout the whole school year.

In a time where the digital world is vast and forever accessible, it is easy to lose track of what kind of content your child is accessing online. Children are becoming increasingly tech savvy, so much in fact that it makes it hard for parents to keep up.
If you're in need of tips and advice on how to keep your child safe online, you've come to the right place.
2Simple have published a free guide entitled Parenting in a Digital World, to help parents educate their children about safe internet use and guide them towards becoming responsible digital citizens. You can download the guide here.
The advice has been divided for children from the age ranges of 5-7 and 7-11 years, highlighting the risks of the internet and the best strategies that parents can use to ensure that their children are aware of the risks involved and how to avoid them. The aim is to help parents to empower their children to make their own, informed decisions about their online activity.

In this post, were focussing on Digital Technologies as a subject. As usual, theres something for everyone - including teachers!
You may be one of those fortunate teachers who chose to take charge of Digital Technologies in your school. Or you may be one of the many teachers who suddenly found themselves in the role after the principle noticed that you could use a printer! Whatever your starting point, your first port of call should be the DigiTech Coordinators Toolkit.
This has everything you need to get started and keep going. Need a digital technologies policy? No problem. Use the example policy straight off the shelf or, better still, regard it as a template for your own.
Wondering how to put the policy into practice? Enter the Action Plan template and the Action Plan example. if you would like to know more, read on! if you would like to start a trial of Purple Mash, click here.
