On World Ocean Day, 8th June, people around our blue planet will be coming together to celebrate and honour our ocean. The ocean connects us all, between countries and across the world and by working together, we must protect and restore our oceans. The theme this year is The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods.

World Environment Day is celebrated every year on the 5th June and is run and organised by the United Nations day to raise awareness of our planet and the environment. This year the theme is #GenerationRestoration'.

We are so excited to announce the official launch of the newly designed Purple Mash! We have several new features that you can explore and start to use. The trial period will last for approximately 8 weeks, after which we will gradually switch all users to the new look Purple Mash!

Each month we will be highlighting a #MashoftheMonth, this will focus on a tool or application within Purple Mash and how it can be used within the classroom to support learning across the curriculum. During the month, if you share how you have used #MashoftheMonth, you will then be entered into a draw to win a 2Simple Goody Bag! May's #MashoftheMonth is 2Survey.

We would like to thank all those schools who entered our writing element of the Book of Hope competition. The book now however, needs a front cover and images to go within the book as we launch the second part of the competition. Get involved with creating our Book of Hope.
