The 27th January marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Every year on this day the world comes together to mark Holocaust Memorial Day, remembering the millions of people killed by the Nazi persecution and in subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Dafur. First held in January 2001 it is a day where thousands of people come together to learn about the past and take action to create a safer future.

As the new academic year approaches, we wanted to share with you some useful links we know will help you and your colleagues get started in 2023. This year, the Jewish holiday Hanukkah, or Chanukah, runs from Sunday 18th December to the evening of Monday 26th December. Here at 2Simple, we're celebrating Chanukah using Purple Mash and have several resources for you to use in your classrooms to celebrate this holiday.
